Creator & Seller Terms

These Creator & Seller Terms supplement the CrowdifAI Terms of Service for anyone who uploads data, completes paid contribution tasks, creates marketplace listings, licenses datasets, earns rewards or receives payouts (“Creator”).

1. Creator eligibility

Creators must be at least 18 years old, have a valid CrowdifAI account, satisfy applicable verification requirements and be legally able to grant the rights offered through CrowdifAI.

CrowdifAI may require verified email, KYC, tax information and an eligible payout account before publication or payout.

2. Your content and rights responsibility

You retain ownership of rights you already hold in uploaded content. You are responsible for ensuring that you have sufficient rights to upload, annotate, license and sell the content under the settings you select.

For every submitted file/dataset, you represent that at least one valid basis applies, such as:

  • you created and own the content;
  • you hold a license broad enough to sublicense/use it through CrowdifAI;
  • it is lawfully in the public domain; or
  • your employer/organization or other rights holder authorized the upload and licensing.

You must also have any consent, model/property release, privacy notice, employment permission, confidentiality waiver or other authorization required for identifiable people, private places, confidential material or third-party information in the dataset.

3. Creator license to CrowdifAI

You grant CrowdifAI the operational rights described in the Terms of Service to host, validate, transform, preview, moderate, annotate, package, deliver and administer your content.

If you select research, AI training, commercial, marketplace or partner permissions, you also authorize CrowdifAI to make the applicable content available within that selected scope and to grant buyer/licensee rights consistent with the applicable listing and Dataset License Terms.

If you select an exclusive license, do not separately grant conflicting rights during the applicable exclusive period. CrowdifAI must define the exact commercial effect of “exclusive” in the final production license before allowing creators to select it.

4. Basic and Premium tiers

CrowdifAI currently uses:

  • **Basic / Scientific** for scientific/non-commercial use within the applicable terms; and
  • **Premium / Commercial** for commercial licensing within the applicable terms.

You must select the correct tier and must not describe content as commercially licensable if you lack the necessary commercial rights.

5. Marketplace listing information

You must provide accurate listing information, including title, description, category, language, tags, license tier, price and any material restriction or known limitation.

You must not make false or unsupported claims that a dataset is anonymous, bias-free, complete, legally cleared, exclusive, scientifically validated, suitable for regulated uses, or guaranteed to produce a particular model outcome.

6. Review and publication

CrowdifAI may review a listing before publication and may request evidence of provenance or rights. CrowdifAI may reject, unpublish, suspend or remove a listing for rights, quality, safety, fraud, legal or policy concerns.

Platform review does not transfer your creator warranties to CrowdifAI and does not guarantee that CrowdifAI has independently verified every file.

7. Pricing

Where creators can choose a price, you authorize CrowdifAI to display that price and collect the buyer payment using the permitted payment method for the relevant platform/country.

Taxes may be added where required. CrowdifAI may apply minimum/maximum pricing, currency conversion or promotional rules only if disclosed before they affect a transaction.

8. Platform fee

CrowdifAI deducts the platform fee disclosed in the seller dashboard or transaction terms before calculating net seller proceeds.

The current backend configuration supports a percentage platform fee. The production UI must show the applicable fee or calculation method before a creator commits to a sale/listing.

Changes to fees apply to future transactions after appropriate notice and do not retroactively increase the fee for a completed sale.

9. Marketplace earnings

A creator earning generally becomes eligible only after the related buyer payment is valid and the transaction satisfies applicable release/delivery/fraud controls.

Amounts shown as estimated, pending or awaiting payout are not final cash balances and may be adjusted for refunds, reversals, disputes, chargebacks, duplicate records, fraud, tax withholding or correction of a calculation error.

CrowdifAI does not guarantee sales volume, buyer demand or any minimum earnings.

10. Contribution/task rewards

Paid task submissions are separate from marketplace dataset sales.

To earn a task reward, you must follow the task instructions, submission requirements, content-rights declaration and quality/review rules. CrowdifAI may reject or withhold payment for submissions that are, for example:

  • incomplete or materially outside instructions;
  • duplicates where duplicates are prohibited;
  • fabricated or fraudulently generated;
  • submitted using content you do not have authority to provide;
  • malicious/unsafe; or
  • manipulated to obtain multiple rewards improperly.

If a task permits AI-assisted or synthetic material, that permission should be stated in the task. Otherwise do not assume synthetic data is acceptable.

11. Payout eligibility

Before receiving payouts, you may need to:

  • complete KYC/identity verification;
  • connect and complete onboarding with the payout provider;
  • reach the minimum payout threshold displayed in the app;
  • provide legally required tax/payment information; and
  • have no unresolved fraud, sanctions or payment-provider restriction affecting the payout.

The backend currently supports scheduled payout runs and a configurable minimum threshold. The value shown in the production seller dashboard at the relevant time governs unless a separate written agreement applies.

12. Payout timing

Payout schedules are estimates and may be delayed by banking networks, payment-provider review, KYC, disputes, technical incidents or legal requirements.

CrowdifAI will not describe a payout as completed until the platform records the relevant payout/transfer as sent or completed.

13. Refunds, disputes and chargebacks

If a buyer transaction is refunded, reversed, disputed, charged back or found fraudulent/invalid, CrowdifAI may cancel or reverse the related creator earning.

If the amount was already paid to you, CrowdifAI may, to the extent permitted by law:

  • deduct it from future earnings;
  • hold an equivalent pending balance; or
  • request repayment.

We will provide enough transaction information for you to understand the adjustment, subject to buyer privacy/security.

14. Fraud and reserve/holds

CrowdifAI may temporarily hold a payout where there is a reasonable and documented concern involving fraud, unauthorized payment, rights infringement, KYC inconsistency, sanctions or a pending dispute.

Any hold should last no longer than reasonably necessary, subject to payment-provider/legal requirements. CrowdifAI will provide notice when appropriate and lawful.

15. Taxes

You are responsible for determining and paying taxes on creator earnings unless CrowdifAI or the payout provider is legally required to collect, withhold or report them.

CrowdifAI may request tax residency, VAT/tax identification or other information needed for reporting and may withhold payments where legally required.

16. No employment or guaranteed work

CrowdifAI does not guarantee task availability, hours, assignments, sales or income. Using creator tools does not by itself create an employment, partnership, agency or franchise relationship.

Actual worker/employment classification is determined by applicable law and the real working relationship; these Terms do not override mandatory employment protections.

17. Takedown and rights complaints

If CrowdifAI receives a credible copyright, privacy, confidentiality or other rights complaint about your content, we may temporarily restrict access while investigating.

You must reasonably cooperate by providing provenance, permission or license evidence. Repeated or serious rights violations may result in listing removal or account restriction.

18. Privacy and personal data in creator content

You must not assume that CrowdifAI’s automated validation removes all personal data. If you upload content containing personal data, you remain responsible for having a lawful basis and for accurately describing relevant restrictions.

Do not intentionally upload hidden credentials, financial secrets, private communications or other highly sensitive data unless CrowdifAI expressly requests it for a lawful task with appropriate protections.

19. Withdrawal of content and existing buyers

You may request that CrowdifAI stop offering a listing for future purchases. Removal from future sale does not automatically revoke licenses already granted to buyers in completed transactions.

If continued buyer use becomes unlawful—for example because you discover that you never had the rights you represented—notify CrowdifAI immediately at [LEGAL/IP EMAIL]. CrowdifAI may suspend delivery, notify affected buyers, preserve evidence and take other legally appropriate measures.

20. Creator indemnity

For creators acting in a business/professional capacity, you agree, to the extent permitted by law, to indemnify CrowdifAI for third-party claims arising from your breach of ownership, licensing, privacy or confidentiality warranties or your intentional misuse of the platform.

This does not require you to indemnify CrowdifAI for CrowdifAI’s own unlawful conduct and does not limit non-waivable rights.

21. Suspension of seller features

CrowdifAI may suspend marketplace or payout features for material policy violations, unresolved KYC, credible fraud/risk, legal requirements or provider restrictions. Where appropriate, existing undisputed balances remain payable once lawful payout conditions are satisfied.

Account closure does not entitle CrowdifAI to confiscate valid earned amounts unless a lawful offset, reversal, sanctions restriction or other legal basis applies.
